AmFund Announces Contest to Name New Podcast

MAITLAND, Fla. (May 17, 2021) – The American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund) has announced a contest to name its new podcast. Entries will be accepted beginning at noon (EDT) on Monday, May 17th and closing on June 17th at 11:59 p.m. (EDT). The winner will receive recognition and a pizza party for the staff of their chosen nonprofit organization.

Ideas can be submitted online at www.AmFund.org/podcastpizzaparty and all the rules of the contest are posted there, too.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, AmFund provides significant educational programs for other nonprofit organizations around the country. This new podcast will be another platform for disseminating pertinent information about fundraising, marketing, sponsorships, event planning and current trends.

“We are looking forward to launching our new podcast in August this year, and we want its name to resonate with the nonprofits we serve,” said Deborah Marshall, Chief Operating Officer of the American Fundraising Foundation. “The format of our podcast will not only be informational but will bring to the microphone some of the leading voices in fundraising today.

How fun to invite people outside our organization to help us name the podcast and reward a worthy nonprofit staff with a pizza party!”

Announcements for the new name will be made the week before the new podcast launches in August.

About the American Fundraising Foundation

Each year, the American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund) carefully chooses organizations to support through sponsorship of events, unrestricted grant distribution, virtual silent auctions, and other programs to raise much-needed unrestricted funds for the important missions of those organizations.

AmFund was recognized in 2020 by Nonprofit PRO as Fundraiser of the Year. It is also recognized with the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency and since 1999 has distributed nearly $40 million for worthy causes. In January 2021, it was among an elite group being named a Top Nonprofit.

AmFund’s signature silent auctions featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences that are good for three years with no black-out dates, are presented at organizations’ special events - drawing admiration, praise and excitement as the entire process elevates the event in the eyes of patrons, board members and the community. Last year, it introduced AmFund Signature VIP, a virtual silent auction that is becoming the “go-to” fundraising option for nonprofits. New in 2020 was the added benefit of the AmFund electronic bidding platform that offers exceptional tools to heighten fundraising opportunities – all at no cost to AmFund’s chosen partners.

Leveraging more than two decades of fundraising experience, AmFund provides expert training on a wide variety of topics and offers subject matter expertise through its Speaker’s Bureau for groups ranging in size from 12 to 500.
