As a Development Director at AmFund, we get to support over 300 organizations each year across the United States. Yes, this requires a ton of travel, but we are all dedicated to raising funds for our nonprofit partners' missions! Each organization is different, each event differing from the next. Sometimes we get to experience truly "Cool" things---like Willie Nelson live on stage signing his heart at his own Luck ranch in TX! It was a honor to support you Farm Aid for a second year in a row!
Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first Farm Aid concert in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on the land. Dave Matthews joined the Farm Aid Board of Directors in 2001. Farm Aid has raised more than $53 million to promote a strong and resilient family farm system of agriculture. Farm Aid is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to keep family farmers on the land.
