MAITLAND, Fla. (September 19th, 2024) –The American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund) will announce recipients of its 2024 Golden Pear Grants no later than mid-December.
"Each year, we review each of the applications, and this year is no different," said Deborah Marshall, Chief Operating Officer of AmFund. "We received nearly 5,000 applications, a 100 percent increase from the last grant cycle, and value the time each organization took to tell us about their important work as well as their financial needs."
"Once the review process is complete, the Board will make its decision, and we will release the information immediately thereafter," Marshall continued. "If we complete the process earlier than projected, we will not delay in making the awards. We recognize the importance of unrestricted funds, especially this year."
She went on to say that the heartwarming stories have been inspirational to the entire AmFund team. "We are grateful to the nonprofit community for continuing to make life better for all of us through their varied missions. The Golden Pear is part of our logo and symbolizes good health, prosperity, longevity, and future happiness – all the things we hope for these worthy organizations."
Once decisions are made, all applicants will be notified. Recipient organizations will receive an announcement, press kit, and photo of a big check presentation.
"Our greatest joy is in our mission to help organizations fund their cause through one of our many signature funding opportunities," Marshall said, emphasizing the organization's unwavering commitment and passion for supporting these causes.
